Title A name given to the resource Karte Subject The topic of the resource Kartografska zbirka NUBBiH Description An account of the resource Najvrednije u ovoj zbirci su stare karte koje datiraju iz 16./17./18. stoljeća, čija je vrijednost za proučavanje kartografije od izuzetnog značaja. Prema posljednjoj reviziji koja je završena 2006. godine, u Kartografskoj zbirci nalazi se ukupno 5.915 bibliotečkih jedinica. Najstarija karta koju posjeduje NUBBiH jeste Sclavoniae, Croatiae, Carniae, Istriae, Bosniae finitimarumque regionum nova descriptio njemačkog kartografa Augustina Hirschvogela, koja je nastala u Nürnbergu 1565. godine. Na karti je prikazana Bosna i sjeverni dio Hercegovine. Među starim i vrijednim kartama nalazi se i Mercatorova karta Sclavonia, Croatia, Bosnia cum Dalmatiae parte, izdata 1590. godine, na kojoj je prikazana cijela Bosna i Hercegovina sa oko stotinu naselja. Na njoj je prikaz rijeka mnogo bolji nego na ranijim kartama. Tu su zatim karta Partie meridionalle du Royaume de Hongrie, Croatie, Dalmatie, Bosnie... autora Nicolasa Sansona, izdata 1664. godine, kao i La Croazia, Bosnia, e Servia edi nuova projezione, autora Antonia Zatta, izdata u Veneciji 1782. godine.
