Djelo je napisano 923/1517. godine sažeto i lahkim stilom, tako da je vremenom postalo veoma popularno i dugo vremena služilo kao udžbenik i priručnik fikha u medresama na prostorima Osmanskog carstva, pa i u našim krajevima. Djelo je štampano u Istanbulu (1251/1835, 1258/1842, 1264/1848), u Bulaqu (1263/1847), a poznati francuski orijentalista H. Sauvaire ga je, zajedno s komentarom Mağma‘ al-Abhur od Muḥammad b. Sulaymān Šayẖī-zāde, preveo na francuski i uz tekst arapskog originala štampao u Marselju (fr. Marseille), 1882. godine (Popara IX, 5563).
